The Security Officers roles range from securing equipment to keeping unwanted persons out from the event. Often Security Officers are used internally to ensure attendees are following the rules of the site. The Security Officers that work at these events will need experience and training in dealing with crowd control, especially when these events involve large crowds.

All events require security companies to ensure they follow the law, especially when it comes to ensure all staff and attendees are safe. Events where alcohol is served require Security Officers to hold specific security licenses. All events require risk assessments to be done as well. Where large groups of people are in attendance security companies should also include counter terrorism training and planning.
